⛷ DISCOUNTED SKI & SNOWBOARD PACKAGES AT THUNDER RIDGE! 🏂

We are pleased to partner with Thunder Ridge Ski Area to offer you their discounted community pricing. Lessons are designed to teach and improve skills, hopefully instilling a passion for winter sports! Lessons are for skiers and snowboarders, all levels, AGES 8+. No exceptions.

Registration is now open in the Recreation Office downstairs in LaGrange Town Hall, 120 Stringham Rd, during regular office hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4pm. Information and sign up packets will be available to read, fill out and sign in the office OR you can access the information and forms in advance on our website at https://www.lagrangeny.gov/departments/parks-recreation/things-to-do/ski-club, fill them out, and bring them in to the office to register. Registration is in person ONLY through our office. Checks must be made out in the exact amount to Thunder Ridge Ski Area. Don't wait... slots fill up quickly as they are filled by all participating towns!

🌕 ATTENTION SKYWATCHERS! ✨

You can see the next full moon, the Beaver Moon, tonight if the clouds cooperate. This Moon is extra special as it’s the final supermoon of 2024, meaning the moon will appear bigger and brighter than usual.

How to capture the moon on your cell phone:
1. Open your phone camera.
2. Swipe up in the middle of our screen
3. Click the exposure setting (the +-)
4. Lower the exposure to it’s lowest setting (-2)
5. Zoom in on the moon as much as you can
6. Touch the moon on your screen and swipe down to lower the exposure further.
7. BE AS STILL AS POSSIBLE. Use a tripod or rest your phone on something sturdy (like a fence) if possible.
8. Click away!

Some believe it’s easier to capture a clear photo by taking video and following the same steps above. During the video touch the moon to focus and click the white circle at bottom right of your screen to snap a bunch of photos.

$60 includes bus from and back to LaGrange Town Hall, show ticket, lunch (1 comp drink, salad, beef sirloin, roast turkey, stuffing, gravy, potato, vegetable, rolls, dessert, coffee, tea and soda), and all gratuities!

It's never too early to think about putting a smile on a child's face this holiday season while you're out and about this weekend. Our Toys For Tots Toy Drive has officially launched, the first toys and have been dropped, and we need your help to spread the joy!

From now until December 12th, you can make a difference by donating a new, unwrapped toy at LaGrange Town Hall, located at 120 Stringham Road, M-F, 8:30am-4pm. Dutchess County Toys for Tots has left us convenient drop-off boxes available both upstairs and downstairs—making it easy for everyone to join in!

Imagine the joy on a child’s face as they unwrap a gift, feeling the warmth of our community’s generosity. Let’s come together to ensure every child experiences the magic of the season! Remember, we’re collecting toys for kids of all ages—just no guns or weapons, please.
